Free Rangers Nursery Forest School Midsomer Norton & Radstock

Free Range children are happy children.

At Free Rangers we take play seriously, especially outdoor play. Children learn so much through play; like taking calculated risks, appreciating themselves, each other, their communities and the natural world. We harness these memorable interactions with nature and use them to teach and facilitate children’s learning in a most powerful way.

Every day there are new things to learn. So, when your child comes home, their knees muddied and their pockets bursting with natural treasures, it’s the sign of a successful and happy day’s learning.

Think back to your early childhood: adults faintly in the background; friends and the great outdoors promising new adventures. These are the days we at Free Rangers remember.

We also remember how confident we felt, freely exploring our environment. This is how we want your children to remember their early years with us; an exciting and happy time which nurtures their self-confidence and readies them for the big step from nursery to full time education.

By following the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and ensuring that learning opportunities are planned to extend and expand the interests of each child, we make the transition from nursery to school as smooth as possible. Most importantly, we strive to ensure your child’s days at Free Rangers are happy ones.
